*Registration for fellows/students/trainees must be accompanied by a letter from their department chairs verifying their status when registering. Trainee status includes interns and residents.
**Developing country status is defined by the World Bank.

Payment Options

Registration can be completed by credit card, check, or PO. We highly recommend purchasing via credit card as SHEA is currently working remotely with very limited access to our headquarters to collect and confirm check or PO payments. Due to this limitation, we will be closing the check and PO payments options on February 28 at 11:59 PM EST. After February 28, only credit card payments will be available. If we do not receive and confirm your check or PO payment by March 28, you will be required to complete payment by credit card online or onsite.

Vaccination as a Condition of Attendance

SHEA requires all persons who attend the SHEA Spring Conference to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccine. Up to date means a person has received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible. SHEA will be sending information on how to self-attest that you are up to date vaccinate status a few weeks before the conference. Under this policy, attendees will need to be up to date with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine.

Exceptions are under consideration for approval for attendees with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination. These attendees must be approved in advance of the conference and test daily immediately (within 2 hours) before each in-person conference day and show registration proof of negative test for re-entry. Attendees with an exemption will be responsible for purchasing and administering SHEA approved COVID-19 tests before arrival. More information will be shared once approval is provided.

The Vaccination as a Condition of Attendance is subject to change.

Mask Policy

Currently, all attendees, speakers, and staff must wear a well-fitting mask, except when eating, drinking, or presenting on stage. Attendees should bring their own masks. Cloth masks are not allowed. Masks will be available at registration while supplies last. Participants are encouraged to change masks daily. This mask policy is subject to change.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be in writing and received via email no later than March 23, 2023, to be eligible for a refund, less a $125 administrative fee. Requests received after March 23, 2023, will not be accepted.


Can’t attend in Person?

Session Recordings will be available for purchase post-conference, May 2023. If you are attending in person, you will have complimentary access for the entire program.
